I thought it would be a little bit bigger when I got it, but now I think the size is perfect for a few cups of tea or a hot soup. Couldn't ask for anything more. not a big deal.Highly recommended One little thing that may bother some is that the spill-proof insert filter thingy (that goes in the spout) sometimes falls out when i'm rinsing or dumping (not pouring) the water out very quickly. I love the stainless steel (which is definitely worth the extra couple bucks over the plastic kind). It heats up quick, shuts itself off, and has a removeable base.
Although very lightweight it doesn't feel shoddily made.Cons: The paddle electric switch under the handle still leaves me with the sense that I could easily snap it off; I would have preferred something more robust. The fill and pour spout are ample and don't drip. The water fill level (embedded in the body side of the handle) is larger than I expected and quite easy to read. I needed a tea kettle for my new office. The water, while heated thoroughly, is not brought to the same high rolling boil as I am used to.Overall I like this kettle and think it delivers a lot of value for its very reasonable price. I have never owned an Aroma product before but if this is the kind of quality they provide I will be sure and look for it when shopping for other items. I would recommend this kettle to all. My husband and I are BIG tea drinkers so we use this Kettle several times a day, every day and we couldn't be happier. It boils quickly, it's lightweight, and we couldn't beat the price.
I would recommend this for anyone who is tired of boiling water in the microwave like I was doing. I've been searching for an electric tea kettle and this one really fits the bill. I love the fact that the water heats up fast and shuts off after boiling.
I just throw in 16 oz of water and literally in 2 minutes it is boiling. I love this thing. Shuts itself off if you forget it too which is a great feature. 1500 watts is the ticket.Couldn't recommend it more higly. Got one after traveling in N. Zealand where they use this kind of thing all the time.
